Hi everyone, my name is Yolandi and I am the proud mother of this brave boy, Christopher Henry. Christopher was born with a Venus malformation on his right buttock, else known as a clotting of blood vessels. At the time the paediatrician said that there was nothing to worry about it will disappear as he grows older. This did not happen, as he grew older we found that this malformation, causes blood clots and malignant tumours. He has had surgery twice to remove said tumours. On the last visit to the specialist it was said that we only see what is on the surface, and not what is going on, on the inside with this malformation. As he is growing older it is becoming more visible that there is a big problem. This malformation is now starting to influence his walk and running. Now everyone who knows Christopher, knows that he is a very busy and active boy, playing cricket and baseball very well. But is now in constant pain and cannot perform as he would like.
