I am tackling Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the learners at Amathemba School who have learning barriers due to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, which is permanent brain damage caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol.
This cause is very close to my heart, and I know how much they need help raising funds, so I have chosen to raise funds and contribute towards the education of children who have been labeled as uneducable.
The funds raised through this campaign will directly impact the learners at Amathemba School. Most learners attending Amathemba have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and similar disabilities and are in Home of Hope's children's home or from the local impoverished surrounding communities.
With the money raised, Amathemba School can purchase stationary for the learners, groceries for those children attending school without lunch, and general maintenance costs.
The fund raised will be used to educate the children at Amathemba School.
