About This Campaign

We are reaching out to all our friends, family and the community to support Colin in recovering from a stoke that turned his life upside down.
On the 16th of December @ 11:00 Colin suffered from a major Ischaemic stroke. With the help of our tenants, neighbours and one of SOG guys we managed Colin to the bedroom. He was already lame on his right side (arm and leg) and could not speak.
The ambulance came to fetch him and took him to Germiston government hospital where he laid 17 hours to be attended to. As we all know the first 4 hours after a stroke is the most important time of recovery
Colin has been laying in hospital for 3 weeks now with no progress. As the physio has explained they cannot get to all the patients they are so fully booked
When the hospital discharge Colin we want to look for a step-down centre that can assist us with Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy and need to purchase equipment that can assist Colin in his day-to-day tasks
So far, the cheapest recovery centre Nurture Alberton is R5 500.00...
