Help Shreeya Mahadeo Represent South Africa at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2025
Shreeya started playing chess in 2018 at the age of 7. Proud and humbled to be in the company of a batch of highly talented players in Kwa-Zulu Natal; she is currently one of the best players in her age group. Shreeya has a goal of one day representing South Africa at the highest level at major international events such as the World Chess Olympiad and Commonwealth Chess Championships
In 2025, the 15-year-old Durbanite, Shreeya Mahadeo, is illuminating both the local and national stages with her exceptional talent.
Shreeya's journey on the chessboard this year has been marked by these remarkable achievements:
- Placed 9th at the South African Junior Closed Chess OTB Championship 2025 in Cape Town in March 2025
