The Community Policing Forum (CPF) is a Non Profit Organisation (NPO) working as the eyes and ears of the local police. We get no financial support for the work we do. All our members are doing it voluntarily. Our only source of income is for the radio license fees. Taking this into account, it is clear that whoever is part of the CPF, has joined to support the cause. Trying to make a difference to our community's safety and security. 

Crime became rampant in the last 24 months. The community asked us to do something to stem the tide of crime. Various suggestions were offered but most of them were leaning towards vigilantism. That is one thing that will not be tolerated. Civilians cannot take the law into their own hands. They can, however, help to get authorities to the scene of a crime faster than normal. One of the reachable suggestions was to install CCTV cameras to help with the prevention of crimes. It was a widely accepted suggestion.
