On the morning of 9 May 2026 disaster and heartache struck the home and life of Courtney founder of Noupoort Animal Care. While tending to her animals in the Shelter which is a part of yard at her home, Courtney could not imagine how her whole world would change in a few minutes. When Courtney stepped into her house she saw flames, her house, her life is burning. A massive devastating and ruthless fire was going through the house devouring and destroying everything before her eyes. 

Her first though was not herself but all the animals that needed to be rescued.

This is what Courtney does, she rescues, for nearly 16 years she has been rescuing sick, frail, stray and homeless animals. She is the “vet” of Noupoort, the pillar of the community when it comes to Animals, From deworming, vaccinating and caring for sick or dying animals due to parvo and distemper, Courtney has done it all.
