Namibia Crossing 2026

On the 14 - 20 June 2026 I am planning to do the Namibia Crossing in the Ai/Ais- Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, Northern Cape province.  This is an 200km race over 5 days in the remote Richtersveld area.

This race is a late celebration of my 40th birthday, which was on the 4 December 2022, the day after I buried my Father.  On the 22 November 2022 my Father died in a freak accident and it had a big impact in my life ever since.  When I saw this race I immediately thought of him. He was a born and bred farmer or as we would say in Afrikaans “'n boer in murg en been”.  He lived close to God and with nature I could not think of a better race to honour his memory.

This is not just only a race over 5 days, but an adventure where you can find yourself again and just realise how small you as a human is in relation to God's creation.
