Danitio’s Journey of Hope

Danitio Rossouw is a 17-year-old brave and resilient boy who loves cars, enjoys spending time on his PlayStation, and dreams of completing his schooling and building a bright future for himself.

He is currently facing an incredibly difficult medical journey after undergoing a stem cell transplant for a serious haematological condition. Since the transplant, his recovery has been complicated by infections, ongoing challenges, repeated hospital admissions, and the need for specialised medical care and close monitoring.

For Danitio and his family, this has been emotionally overwhelming, physically exhausting, and financially draining. Coming from the Eastern Cape, they have had to spend extended periods in Cape Town so that he can continue receiving the treatment and follow-up care he needs. This has placed added pressure on the family through travel, accommodation, and daily living costs during an already challenging time.
