Hi, my name is Devon Lee from George.

I am currently working in street cleaning, but beyond my daily duties, I spend my own time collecting litter in my community to help reduce illegal dumping and keep our environment clean.

Every day I see the same problem — dumping areas that grow worse, affecting our health, safety, and pride in where we live.

But I don’t just want to clean it.

I want to transform it.

My vision is simple but powerful: To turn illegal dumping hotspots into clean, green spaces by removing waste and planting trees and plants in those same areas.

Right now, my biggest challenge is that I do not have the proper equipment.

With a pull cart, I will be able to: • Collect and transport more waste efficiently
• Work longer hours, including weekends
• Clean larger areas consistently
• Start small planting projects after clearing dumping sites

This will allow me to not only improve my income as a parent, but also make a lasting impact in my community.
