Hello, I'm Riaan Potgieter.

I am the proud father of Diandré Potgieter, who entered this world just 11 days ago, born prematurely at 31 weeks, weighing a mere 1.68kg and measuring 41cm in length.

Unfortunately, our little one faces a significant challenge – a constriction on his aorta, necessitating open-heart surgery scheduled for December 8, 2023. This surgery is vital to ensure proper blood flow to Diandré's organs and overall well-being.

As you can imagine, the costs associated with such a critical procedure are substantial. Furthermore, unplanned expenses are piling up due to the unexpected transfer of Diandré from Potchefstroom Mediclinic to Sunninghill Hospital in Sandton, requiring us to cover additional travel and lodging costs.
