Diba Clinic Building Project

The ambitious Diba Clinic Building Project was initiated by the rural community of Diba, Bulilima Rural District Ward 2, Plumtree, Zimbabwe in 2021.

This project aims to build a local clinic that will serve the rural community of Diba that consist of about 2000 households, with an estimated population of 10 000 individuals. This project will benefit the residents of Diba community, especially the elderly, women and children who currently travel very far to access health facilities, sometimes not getting there or being late for medical attention.

The community has been able to donate towards this project to its current level where the building is at roof level. However, due to drought that affects the rural community with most losing their cows (which is a source of income), the community is now struggling to raise enough funds to complete the roofing and finishing of the clinic. The tough economy in South Africa has also affected the diaspora members.
