DIVAN'S 1% MIRACLE: PARALYZED AT 14

We had just moved into our new home. Divan and his brother wanted snacks, so he came with me, his mother, to the shop. It should have been an ordinary trip. Instead, it changed our lives forever.

On our way home, a minibus taxi swerved in front of us on the highway. I braked to avoid a collision, lost control, and our car rolled off the road.

We were trapped in the wreckage. A truck driver stopped to help us, but the taxi driver sped away. I managed to crawl out from underneath a door, while Divan had to be cut from the car with the Jaws of Life.
