Minutes before 2026 arrived, Donovan Hayes, his wife and two minor children were the latest victims of crime, at their home in Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa.
They arrived home minutes before the New Year started, to be greeted by a violent armed robbery. Donovan managed to get his wife, Claudette and two beautiful children out of harms way by fighting to get them behind the security gate when het was shot several times.
He is currently in ICU in Life Ancronn Hospital in Klerksdorp.
After initial surgery on 1 January 2026, Donovan had to undergo surgery again to remove the kidney that was injured.
Unfortunately Donovan does not have a medical aid, and needless to say, funding is critical at the moment.
