Where it’s needed most
Our annual fundraising goal is R150,000 to support essential operations and urgent needs across the Dr Phil-Afel Foundation’s programmes.
Some donors want to support a specific programme. Others want to support the overall work and trust us to direct their donation where it is needed most. Our General Fund is for that kind of giving.
Dr Phil-Afel Foundation works across Hanover Park and surrounding communities through programmes focused on children, women, youth, rehabilitation, upliftment and practical community support. Behind every outing, session, proposal, handout and partnership are costs that keep the Foundation moving.
What the General Fund supports
The fund covers needs that do not always fit neatly into one campaign: stipends; accounting support; technology for fundraising and proposal work; documentation of our work; transport and team movement; professional support where needed; vehicle-related needs; and urgent operational gaps that affect delivery across our programmes.
