Dear Supporters,
For 28 years, Drakenstein Lion Park has provided a lifetime care sanctuary for rescued big cats. We are incredibly proud of our spotless track record over nearly three decades: zero escapes, zero public incidents, and zero harm to local wildlife. Our priority has always been, and will always be, the safety and welfare of the animals in our care.
Currently, our sanctuary is navigating a highly complex regulatory environment regarding fencing and structural policies for captive predators. To ensure that we can continue our vital rescue work and secure the future of our facility, we urgently need to engage legal counsel.
How your funds will be used:The funds raised through this campaign will be used exclusively to cover the costs of legal representation for an internal administrative appeal process with statutory authorities.
