My name is Larisca Steyn and I’m a 23-year-old paraplegic athlete living with a disability. Despite the challenges I face, I’ve never let my wheelchair define my limits. Sport has always been a huge part of my life and now my biggest dream is to complete the half Ironman. Through the Back a Buddy campaign, I’m raising funds for a racing chair, so I can start training seriously and compete in smaller races on the road to Ironman 2026. This journey is not just about reaching the finish line, it’s about proving that strength, determination, and passion can break through any barrier.
