Dubai Dreams: DFJ Superstars

Dance has always been more than movement for me—it’s a voice, a dream, and a path to opportunity. My name is Idaishe Betty Chando, and at just 21 years old in 2022, I started Dance for Joy in my small hometown of Louis Trichardt, Limpopo. With no outside help, I built this studio from the ground up, turning a small dream into a place where young dancers can shine, grow, and pursue their passion.

Now, at 25 years old, I’m proud to share that our DFJ Superstars team has been selected to represent South Africa at the Global Supreme – GLX Dubai Championship from 15–19 July 2026. This is an incredible chance for our dancers to gain international exposure, showcase their talent, and bring pride to our community.

But we need your help to make this dream a reality. Travel, accommodation, competition fees, and costumes come with significant costs, and while our dancers are full of talent and dedication, many of them cannot afford these expenses on their own.
