Creating a Legacy in Elands Bay, Together!

For many of us, Elands Bay isn’t just a surf spot.
It’s early mornings on the road, boards strapped tight and the smell of the ocean before you even see it. It’s shared lineups, quiet sunsets, and that rare sense of freedom you only find on the West Coast.

But beyond the waves we love, there’s a community that calls Elands Bay home every single day.

For years, 9Miles Project has been working in Elands Bay to support local children and youth during the most vulnerable hours of the day, after school. This is when many children are at the greatest risk, and when safe, structured spaces matter most.

Our Elands Bay clubhouse is that space.
It’s where children come to feel safe after school, receive academic and life-skills support, build confidence through surf therapy and mentorship, grow into themselves in a place where they are seen, protected and supported. 

Right now, this space urgently needs upgrading to remain safe, functional, and fit for the future.
