Thank you for taking the time to read my story! I am a 38-year-old, newly wed, first-time Mom, and it has taken massive courage to turn to this platform to plead for help.

A month before my little girl turned 1, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, after thinking that the lump in my breast was a side effect of breastfeeding. As you can imagine, this came as a massive shock, being a full-time Mom whilst working full-time, heading into wedding season as a wedding coordinator.

I started chemotherapy and went through the motions - one session every three weeks for four months, followed by one session a week for 12 weeks.  Each session came with the side effects of nausea, exhaustion, mouth sores, skin breakouts, needles and pins in my feet, and an extremely compromised immune system, which left me feeling drained, yet there is no chance to rest with a now 18-month-old toddler at my feet, the light of my life.
