Elephant Alone | Fund a Film

In the forests of Knysna, one elephant remains. Once, there were many.

Elephant Alone is a long-form documentary following the story of the last known elephant in this forest and what her presence, and possible absence, means.

After years of filming, we’ve now reached a rough cut of the film. For the first time, we can see the full shape of the story and what is still needed to complete it properly.

There are a few final pieces we need to capture. Moments that require us to return, to wait, and to film with care. Alongside this, we are moving into the final stages of editing, sound, and finishing.

We are raising funds to help us complete the film and bring it into the world in a way that honours the story through our NPO - The Connect Foundation.

This is not just a film about one elephant. It’s about memory, loss, and the quiet responsibility we carry when we realise what is almost gone.
