Help Us Give Eliana-Raven the Care She Needs

Eliana-Raven was born at 36 weeks and was soon diagnosed with Down syndrome. Along with this, she faces several serious medical challenges, including heart complications, an overactive thyroid, and an increased risk of leukemia. Thankfully, her leukemia tests came back negative.

Initially, doctors believed her heart was simply pushing too much blood to her lungs. However, a CT scan revealed that she has PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) and AVSD (Atrioventricular Septal Defect). This means she has an extra vein supplying blood to her lungs, an enlarged main vein to her lungs, and a main vein to her body that is too small to pump the necessary blood. Additionally, instead of having four chambers in her heart, she only has two.

Eliana was scheduled for life-saving heart surgery on Thursday, 30 January 2025, but it was postponed to Monday, 3 February 2025. Unfortunately, that surgery was also delayed due to an infection in her stomach and lungs, adding further complications to her already fragile condition.
