Emergency Rhino Orphan Relief

The Zululand Rhino Orphanage provides critical care for orphaned rhinos that arrive as a result of poaching incidents, accidental separation from their mothers, or when a mother rhino dies due to natural causes. When this happens, young calves are left vulnerable and unable to survive on their own in the wild. The orphanage steps in to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide the specialized care required to give these animals a second chance at life.

Each rhino orphan requires immediate veterinary attention, specialized nutrition, and constant monitoring to stabilize and support their recovery. Daily care includes milk formula for young calves, as well as supplementary feeding such as pellets and teff as they grow. These needs, combined with veterinary treatment, staff care, and ongoing monitoring, place significant financial pressure on the Zululand Rhino Orphanage.
