Hi everyone,
I'm Vanessa Phillips, a passionate music educator with a dream to revolutionise the way we teach and learn music in South Africa. But my journey hasn't been without its challenges.
Growing up, undiagnosed learning difficulties made school a struggle. It was music that ignited my spark, providing a safe haven where I could learn and express myself freely. Now, I'm determined to bring that same transformative power of music to others.
I've already made strides in the field, founding HarmonicMinds, a company dedicated to empowering educators with innovative, tech-driven music education resources. I've also had the privilege of teaching and mentoring countless students at Parklands College, Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre, and even the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
My passion for education and my desire to make a lasting impact have led me to pursue a Master's degree in Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University. This degree will equip me with the knowledge and tools to create cutting-edge solutions for diverse learners, including those on the auti...
