For the past three years from 2019, 2020, and 2021, the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Mikocheni has organized Polio Walks and Sensitization events during the month of October to commemorate World Polio Day; October 24th which is observed worldwide.
As such the Club decided to engage the community in a larger event; a public walk, as a fundraising initiative that will support Various initiatives at Mwananyamala Hospital in Dar es Salaam;
- The purchase of a fridge for storing vaccines
2. The removal of asbestos from the roofing at the vaccination center
3. The expansion of the maternity ward.
