For many of these little ones, life is not easy. Their parents work long hours, often far from home, just to put food on the table. Entokozweni is more than a pre-school, it’s a safe haven, a family, and a foundation for learning. It’s where tiny feet take their first steps toward education, and little hands learn to create, play, and belong.

My mum, Sue Paterson, has devoted her life to helping others, from supporting rural crèches to teaching sewing and crochet at our local community college. She has seen first-hand the challenges these communities face and the difference that care, structure, and education can make in a child’s life.
