I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on 31 August 2023.
It started with Optic Neuritis, where I lost vision in my left eye.
I went from an eye doctor, to an eye specialist and finally to a neurologist.
We did a lumbar puncture on 31st of August to confirm the diagnosis.
We are currently trying to get my medication approved through the medical aid and the plan I'm on.
They want me to get chronic medication from state hospitals and unfortunately state hospitals don't have the medication I need for my MS.
We are trying to change my plan and don't know how long that could take because plan changes normally only take place in January.
Untill then, I need to find a way to afford the medication myself.
