The Story That Started It All
In 2007 a tiny baby girl was found abandoned under a motor bridge in Cape Town. She had no name. No family. Nobody coming for her.
A volunteer at a local children's home took her home for a weekend. Just one weekend.
That weekend changed the entire course of her life.
That little girl became Hannah Fabe. Loved, adopted, cherished, and the reason that one family decided the world needed a place where no baby would ever feel unwanted again.
Hannah's Place of Safety was born for her. And for every baby that came after her.
What They Do Every Single Day
Hannah's Place of Safety is a registered NPO (NPO: 190-811) working directly with the Department of Social Development to care for babies from birth to one year old. These are babies who arrive at their door having never known warmth, safety, or a single moment of feeling truly wanted.
