Tiana was born in 2006 with a rare and life-threatening lung disease (abca3) and was given a few weeks to live. She went home for the first time at four months on full life support.
At the age of 18 months, Tiana was diagnosed with kidney cancer (Wilms tumour), and after receiving chemotherapy, they had to remove her kidney and follow up with more chemotherapy.
Tiana was then diagnosed with a heart condition (pulmonary hypertension) at the age of 8, and the prognosis wasn’t good either.
The Tiana Leigh Lung Foundation was launched to help Tiana and other children who are fighting rare and life-threatening diseases on life support.
Today, Tiana is a phenomenal young lady at 17 (almost 18). Although she cannot be without oxygen for more than a few seconds and sleeps on a CPAP machine to breathe better, Tiana lives life to the fullest and strives...
