Every Mile 4 Aziel

A small group of amateur cyclists (read friends), are riding with Aziel's (brave&strong) father as they take on the mountainous terrain from Johannesburg in Gauteng to Hartenbos in the Western Cape, a 1244km tribute in aid of a young boy's complex medical needs, post a traumatic near drowning accident 8 years ago. The team depart from Joburg on the 14th of March 2026, cycling on average 160km per day, ending in Hartenbos on the 21st of March 2026. 

Aziel Verreynne, (A_zaai_el) now 11 years old, was involved in a near drowning accident when he was just 2 years old, after being resuscitated for almost 2hrs, Christ gave him life again. Though he sustained a severe brain injury resulting in spastic quadriplegia with cerebral palsy and further lung complications, Aziel is the most joyful, long-suffering, optimistic child with an enduring fight-for-life, that you will ever meet.
