FAMILY IN NEED AFTER DEVASTATING FIRE

On the evening of June 16, 2026, the Stoffels family of Promosa, Potchefstroom, were relaxing at home. In the house were Jeff Stoffels, his wife Caya, their son Caylippe, and two younger family members. They had just finished their dinner.

Their son, Caylippe, was in the kitchen, doing the dishes. Caylippe hear a noise, something like a bang of something falling. At first he ignored it, but when he heard the sound again, he decided to investigate.

Not seeing anything downstairs, he walked up the stairs and immediately noticed the fire, spreading quickly through the house. He alerted his father, and together they got everyone out of the house. Thankfully, they were all unharmed.

The fire brigade and police were quick to arrive at the scene, but major damage was done to the house, and just about everything that they have worked for their whole lives were destroyed. The Fire Investigator determined that foul play is suspected. Someone had thrown incendiary devices into the house through the upstairs windows, setting the house on fire.
