Family robbed by gunpoint

A humble family was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 3:00 AM this morning.

Five armed robbers entered the home and tied up the husband, Louwrens (32), while his wife, Felicia (31), was left untied so she could keep their 1-year-old baby calm and quiet.

The robbers took virtually everything the family owned — bedding, shoes, clothing, jackets, laptops, televisions, cellphones, and even the contents of their fridge.

They then loaded all the stolen belongings into Felicia's vehicle and drove away, taking both the car keys and house keys with them.

With no phones left to call for help, the family had to shout for assistance until a neighbour heard them and kindly lent them a phone so they could contact the police and family members.

We spent three hours driving around the area searching for any sign of the vehicle or stolen belongings, but unfortunately without success.
