Fanie Delport

Fanie Delport, born 12 April 1972, completed Grade 10 at Johan Slabbert School in Kroonstad and completed N4 course at the Technical College after school. After this he started working at Eloff Elektric and qualified as an electrician in Bloemfontein. He then starts his own business and builds up a good customer base.

Fanie is an insulin-dependent diabetic. Because of diabetes, some of his problems started in 2019 when his right leg was amputated just below the knee after he stepped on a nail and refused to clear up the infection. After this he received his first prosthesis. To top it all off, 3 toes on the left foot are amputated which greatly affects his balance. His left foot is currently in danger and all efforts to avoid another amputation are urgently needed.

The 2020-Covid epidemic is doing enormous damage to his business. His business has declined badly which is also affecting his health. During 2022, he had surgery to remove a tumour from his liver.
