Since 2008 I have been feeding, sterilizing and looking after feral cats at my work. I have worked for the defence force for over 37yrs. Since 2020 the cats have boomed out of control. I spent the last 4 yrs trapping and sterilizing cats and kittens at our huge base. So far out of 80 odd cats, I have managed to bottle feed & home 30 cats and kittens. I now feed 50 odd young cats. Every now & then a new one pitches up & I must TNR it. I try to raise funds to feed them, provide feeding containers, bedding, bowls and then money to get them sterilised and to treat the odd sickness or injury. I have since gone on retirement Oct 2023. I still go in and look after the cats. Food costs get higher & higher, people are dumping cats & dogs on the base! They also steal my containers, food bowls & even the cat food!

Ps: The cat in the picture is one of my rescues. He has feline aids so he lives with me as I cannot leave him at...
