🎗️💛 DAY 11: TASHREEQ IS STILL GETTING UP AND FIGHTING
A few weeks ago, we shared the devastating news that the tumour behind Tashreeq’s eye was growing aggressively.
Doctors told his family that he would need to undergo 20 consecutive radiation treatments, with the hope of shrinking the tumour enough for the next steps in his treatment.
At the time, Tashreeq was already living with tremendous discomfort and persistent headaches. He had also reached an incredibly difficult place of acceptance, making peace with the possibility that doctors would need to remove his affected eye.
Today, our brave young fighter completed radiation treatment number 11. 🎗️
That means he has already made it through more than half of this incredibly difficult course of treatment.
His mom, Aashiqah, says every day is different.
One morning he wakes up nauseous; the next he feels okay.
One day he is exhausted and wants to sleep; the next he is up and moving...
