Fighting Loan Sharks, Seeking a Fresh Start

Hi, my name is Tryphina, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope in my heart.

Over the past year, I found myself trapped in a cycle of debt while trying to provide for my basic needs. In moments of desperation, I turned to small loans and, eventually, loan sharks — decisions I never thought I would have to make. What started as short-term help has now become a heavy burden that’s affecting my peace of mind, health, and future.

I currently earn R9,000 per month, but my debt has grown to R46,700 — and I’m struggling to stay afloat. I’ve done my best to manage it responsibly, but with interest piling up and pressure from lenders, it’s become nearly impossible to catch up.
