COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING APPEAL – SNAKEBITE VICTIM!
During the devastating veld fires that swept through the Boesmansriviermond, Kenton-on-Sea, and Boknes areas in the week of 5 January 2026, one of our brave volunteer firefighters was bitten by a Puff Adder while protecting our community.
He is currently hospitalized in Port Elizabeth, receiving urgent medical care.
The injury is severe, and because our firefighter does not have medical aid, the costs of treatment—and potential surgery—are overwhelming.
We are calling on our community to come together in support of someone who risked his life for our safety.
