It is with the deepest sadness that we share that Dezi du Plessis passed away this morning, after bravely fighting for her life since the tragic Soweto Marathon accident.
Dezi showed immense strength throughout her battle, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, friends, and the running community. She will forever be remembered for her compassion, strength, and radiant spirit.
The funds raised through this campaign will now go toward covering her medical and funeral expenses, and supporting her two young children as they face this heartbreaking loss.
