Some legacies begin with a single act of CARE.
For Chova, that act saved his life.

Once destined for culling, Chova was given a second chance by Rory Hensman, a man who believed elephants could do more than survive. He believed they could teach us to care, to understand, and to protect the natural world.
More than sixteen years later, Chova still carries that legacy.

Today, he walks alongside Bella, Musina, Nuanedi, Shan, Zambezi and Chishuru, cared for by the handlers, researchers and community members who continue Rory’s vision every day.
But a legacy like this does not continue on memory alone.
It needs daily care. It needs food, veterinary support, enrichment, research and the people who show up for these elephants, month after month.
