From Coma to Comeback — Walk with Us: Vers 2.0

Today, thousands of stroke and brain injury survivors are fighting to reclaim their lives. Their journey is not one they walk alone—spouses, children, parents, and loved ones often become unexpected caregivers, advocates, and pillars of support as they face the challenges of recovery together.

This cause is deeply personal to me. In 2021, my life as a Managing Director and Chartered Accountant was dramatically changed when a severe case of COVID-19 resulted in hypoxic brain damage. The road to recovery was long and demanding, requiring me to relearn basic skills such as walking and speaking. Through faith, determination, and the unwavering support of my wife, I slowly rebuilt my life.

Last year, crossing the finish line of the MTN 702 Walk the Talk was more than a personal achievement—it was proof that recovery is possible. Today, I am walking again, not just for myself, but to help ensure that other survivors have the same opportunity to rebuild their lives and regain their independence....
