From SA Streets to Super Yachts

Hi, my name is Alex du Toit, and I’m reaching out for help to make my lifelong dream come true — working on superyachts around the world.

I’ve always been passionate about travel, the ocean, and hard work, and ever since I discovered the world of superyachts, I knew this is what I wanted to do. This career would not only allow me to earn a living but to grow, explore, and build a future I’ve always dreamed of.

Unfortunately, the training and certifications needed to get started (like STCW and ENG1) are expensive. I’m trying to raise R225,000 to cover:

My mom is a single parent and does everything she can to support me. My dad has chosen not to be involved, and I’ve been trying to find work here in South Africa to save — but it's incredibly difficult in the current job market. This isn’t just a wish — it’s my goal, my future, my freedom.
