From SA to LA: Chasing My Dance Dream

My mom always says that I never needed a stage — I would stop right in the middle of a shopping aisle and start dancing without a second thought. Even as a little child in crèche, I loved it so much that I simply “enrolled myself” into a dance class without my parents’ permission. That’s where it all began — not just a hobby, but a passion that has shaped my life.

My official dance journey started in 2011, where I began with Hip Hop. As I grew, so did my love for dance, and I expanded into Tap and Modern. What started as something fun quickly became something much bigger. I realised that dance wasn’t just something I enjoyed — it was something I wanted to pursue seriously and wholeheartedly.

Over the years, I’ve been incredibly blessed to achieve milestones I once only dreamed of. I earned my Regional and South African colours and had the honour of representing South Africa in New York in 2016. I later achieved my Protea colours and was given another incredible opportunity to represent my country in Arizona in 2018. Today, I continue to gr...
