On Saturday 1st of August 2026, our beloved Daan and Ilze Burger, both in their late 60s, lost absolutely everything they owned in a devastating house fire. By the grace of God, they were not home when the fire started, they are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs
The fire moved quickly, consuming not just their home, but a lifetime of irreplaceable memories, family photographs, and everyday necessities.
The Challenge
At an age where Daan and Ilze Burger should be enjoying a peaceful retirement, they are now faced with the overwhelming and terrifying task of starting over from absolute scratch.
