My name is Tabisa Mrwebi, a youth development advocate and founder of This Girl Wins, a platform committed to empowering young people—especially those from rural and township communities in the Eastern Cape.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of speaking to over 10,000 learners across South Africa, and one reality continues to stand out:
Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.

I’ve met brilliant, driven young people who simply lack access—to information, to exposure, and sometimes even to basic resources that would allow them to show up and participate in life-changing opportunities.

This is why I created the This Girl Wins Student Career Expo—a platform that brings together 1,500 learners from underserved schools and connects them to universities, colleges, career pathways, and life-changing conversations.
