Fuel Travis’s SWS Road to Spain

My name is Travis William Authers. I’m 25 years old, born and raised in the south of Johannesburg, and I’ve been racing since I could barely see over a go-kart wheel.

Motorsport is in my blood. My brother and I were introduced to karting by our dad when we were just kids — a shared passion that has shaped our lives. After a break during high school, we returned to the track in 2021, and that spark turned into something bigger.

In 2023, I won the final round of the first-ever Sodi World Series (SWS) held in South Africa. In 2024, I finished 2nd in the national championship — just one step away from the top. When the winner declined the international invite, I was honoured to be asked to represent South Africa at the SWS Finals in Spain.

This year’s season is already off to a strong start. Despite missing the first round due to financial challenges, I’ve won 3 out of the last 4 races and I’m back in 2nd overall.
