Fundraiser for STEAM Bootcamp

Founded in 2018, Womandla Foundation is a South African-led organization that aims to equip and empower young girls and women through resources, networks, and opportunities, including mentorship, STEAM advocacy, and entrepreneurship development, to lead and transform their communities. One of our proud programmes: 

STEAM Bootcamp: The Womandla Foundation’s annual STEAMI Camp engages Grades 10–11 learners from adopted schools in Durban and Cape Town in a weekend of hands-on workshops, team building, and leadership development focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Innovation. By removing learners from their daily environments, the camp fosters exploration of strengths, discovery of new
interests, and deeper understanding of STEAM career paths. Our workshops serve as a bridge that addresses gender gaps and women inequalities in STEAM career industries, and we continue to encourage, equip, and empower female participation in STEAM pathways.
