Mahdiyah Goolam Rasool, a Gr 10 learner at Greenbury Secondary School in Phoenix, has been selected to represent our country at an international tournament, the Prague Debate Spring, early July in the Czech Republic 🌟
This has been a dream of hers since she first entered the debating space in Gr 7 & a tremendous honour for her & her family. It is a phenomenal opportunity to represent our country and to be a trailblazing leader for other learners within her school and the community.
It demonstrates the potential of learners from average households in low-income communities & government schools, to reach the highest levels in debating.
We are presently raising the required funds for her participation.
