Gareth Aucamp

Most of you who have received this link before would have already read our story. However, a lot has happened since the campaign was started.

After receiving Chemotherapy, Gareth Aucamp was in remission and the doctors started with the Bone Marrow Transplant process. 

On the 18th of July 2024, Gareth's sister, Clair Aucamp, fell at school and died on the 20th of July 2024. We lost our precious daughter. While we are still in the process of grieving, we got some good news that Gareth's transplant is ready and he is good to go, his health was in a good condition. 

Gareth started with 3 days of full-body radiation, 3 days of chemotherapy, and 2 days of rest before the infusion of the new bone marrow. On the 23rd of October 2024, the new bone marrow was infused. After the infusion, Gareth's fever went up, and the doctors found 2 bacteria, 1 in the stomach area and 1 in the bloodstream. His blood pressure dropped and he was admitted to the ICU. In the ICU the doctors found blood in his lungs and he was put on a ventilator. His condition...
