My name is Gary Hewitson, I have the privilege of being named the Manager for the SA Masters Hockey (O50) Side for this year's World Cup. But I need your help.
The Masters Hockey World Cup is an international tournament scheduled every second year and attended by more than 100 teams and 2000 players where the caliber of players and matches are of the highest standard, with many teams fielding former international players with 100 to 120 caps.
As hockey is predominantly self-funded in South Africa, players are unfortunately left to make their own way and fund these tournaments themselves. The tournament will take place between 4 November 2024 and 17 November 2024.
World Cup participation in Auckland is estimated to be approximately R58 000 per person.
