We were a family of four. I am the youngest, my mother passed away when I was only two years old. I grew up  far away from my father but always had the idea that we would spend quality time together in the future.Sadly unfortunate events decided otherwise. 

My father stepped on a rusted screw. He had the wrong treatment for his injury. The inflammation got worse, it spread to his knee and then it progressed to a stage where his tissue started to die. The hospital was very neglectful providing no pain medication other than Panado. No proper sterilization of the wound took place and he would lay in the bed for days where the wound wasn't being cleaned. Eventually they decided to remove all the dead tissue. The damage was beyond repair at this point and they had to amputate his leg till just above the knee. He had a stroke during this surgery and his speech was greatly impaired at this point. The doctors took note of a problem in his stomach and decided to operate again, they didn't take into account how weak he was already and this operation lead to his stomach burs...
