We are writing to you today with a heartfelt plea for emergency funding to support the education of 42 children from the low- to medium-income community of Newlands East in Durban, South Africa.

A Betrayal of Trust:

These children were recently targeted by a fraudulent scholarship scheme operated by an NGO called "Waja Foundation." This organization promised fully funded scholarships, including school fees, transportation, uniforms, and stationery. In good faith, parents paid administrative fees to the foundation, with contributions ranging from R3,000 to R20,000. However, this organization disappeared, leaving parents and schools in a devastating situation.

The Children's Plight:

These children, aged 4 to 17 years old, are now at risk of losing their education. Schools haven't received promised fees, uniforms and stationery weren't provided, and transportation remains an unresolved issue.
